Report: LB Dan Connor To Visit Steelers, Cardinals Pursuing LB Larry Foote

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports on Twitter, inside linebacker Dan Connor, who was released Monday by the Dallas Cowboys, will likely visit the Pittsburgh Steelers sometime this week. La Canfora also is reported that Steelers linebacker Larry Foote, an unrestricted free agent in a matter of hours, is being pursued heavily by the Arizona Cardinals.

Connor, a Penn State product, was originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2008 draft. After four seasons in Carolina he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys to a two-year contract last year.

Connor, if signed, would be a candidate to play the BUCK linebacker spot that could become open should Foote not return.

Foote, the Steelers starting BUCK linebacker last season, had said a few weeks ago that he had talked to the Steelers about re-signing, but that a deal was not imminent. He signed back with the Steelers in 2010 after spending one season with the Detroit Lions in 2009.
