Report: Steelers Re-sign LB Larry Foote To Multi-year Deal Before Start Of Free Agency

Updating a report from earlier on Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers are negotiating with inside linebacker Larry Foote in hopes of re-signing him before the start of free agency later on today, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Twitter.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported earlier on Tuesday that the Arizona Cardinals were interested in signing the soon-to-be free agent linebacker, who started all 16 games for the Steelers last season.

Foote said a few weeks ago that he had already discussed returning in 2013, but that a deal was not imminent at that time.

Foote registered 133 total tackles in his first full season at the starting BUCK position inside. He also forced 2 fumbles and recorded 4 sacks.

UPDATE: The Steelers have reached agreement on a multi-year deal with Foote, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN on Twitter.
