Report: Steelers Sign Ramon Foster To Three-Year Contract

Surprise, surprise. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Pittsburgh Steelers have managed to retain unrestricted free agent guard Ramon Foster prior to the start of the free agency signing period.

The financial details aren\’t known as of yet, but Schefter reports the deal is for three years.

Foster has been the Steelers most consistent lineman the last two season and very durable to boot. He has shown that he can play both guard spots as well as right tackle.

Re-signing Foster now puts the future of left guard Willie Colon with the team in question.

Foster might be asked to lose a little weight upon his return to Pittsburgh as new offensive line coach Jack Bicknell Jr. figures to use more of the zone blocking scheme in 2013.

Foster started every game for the Steelers in 2012 and only missed time in the opener against the Denver Broncos after suffering from migraines.
