Report: Steelers WR Plaxico Burress Has Drivers License Suspended On Monday

The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed wide receiver Plaxico Burress to a one-year contract a few weeks ago, but it appears that he might need a teammate to give him rides to practice this year.

TMZ reports on Monday that Burress has had his drivers license suspended after failing to settle a judgment against him stemming from a 2008 traffic accident.

Burress, who did not have insurance at the time that he rear-ended a Florida woman back in May of 2008, was ordered by a jury to pay $125,000 plus interest to the victim last January, but has yet to do so.

Burress filed an appeal last March, but it appears that he will not win that, and as of Monday, his license was to be suspended by the Florida Division of Motor Vehicles.

Burress had three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown in limited action last season. He was signed to the 53 man roster late in the season after wide receivers Antonio Brown and Jerricho Cotchery were both sidelined with injuries.
