Report: Free Agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw Also Has Interest From Packers & Broncos

Free agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers just last week, is back in the news on Friday as Pro Football Talk reports that the Green Bay Packers and the Denver Broncos are also interested in the former 1,000 yard rusher for the New York Giants.

Bradshaw, who still had a boot on his surgically repaired right foot as of last week, has been linked to Steelers, Packers and New York Jets since his early offseason release, but this is the first time that we have seen the Broncos reported as having interest.

Bradshaw took a physical while in Pittsburgh last week, but that was the extent of things. Reports stated that the Steelers were wanting him to revisit in a few more weeks, but there are no guarantees that he will.

With the draft now just three weeks away, the Steelers are likely to stand pat at the running back position until that passes. They have already had Texas A&M running back Christine Michael and UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin in for pre draft visits this past week, and more draft hopeful running backs will likely follow next week.

The Steelers also currently have just under $2 million in salary cap space to work with until June 1st, so this would also poise a problem with signing Bradshaw before then.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

I am defiantly on the fence on wether or not to get him could either be good or bad

Bradshaw would be just like when we got Duece….
Only Bradshaw will be on the field

Cool, let them sign him. Barring a surprise draft pick early, Dwyer has to be our Feature Back moving ahead.

Deuce was leading the AFC before his hamstring injury. I wish people would stop trying to use him as a reason not to sign Bradshaw. Bradshaw has feet issues,Deuce was healthy.

Bradshaw just turned 27, so he should have a few more decent years in him, (assuming his foot is totally healed)…on the other hand, I also wouldn’t mind just waiting to see how the draft unfolds and getting a younger, cheaper guy.

OMG, please don’t sign this guy before the draft. I know the Steelers aren’t that stupid.

With his history of foot injuries, I would wait until the draft before I sign him.

Why not sign him and let one of the three unproductive feature backs go..
He could have an upside and bring a veteran presence.
