Baltimore Sun Newspaper Has Perhaps The Most Unscientific Steelers Ravens Poll Ever

An interesting poll that is posted on the Baltimore Sun website has quite interesting results.

An emailer alerted me to this poll that asks readers to vote on which quarterback is best between Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

As of right now at the time of this posting Flacco has 10499 votes, while Roethlisberger is right behind with 10205 votes.

Now, this is not the most scientific approach to polling, in fact Ravens fans should be disappointed that this is so close. Just as everything else is usually flawed, I suspect that this poll is flawed as with a stacked deck.

So, vote or don\’t vote. Share this or don\’t share this.

Someone at the Baltimore Sun needs to take a statistics class.

Plus it was 95 to 5% for Ben last night before any of the Ravens fans heard about it. We all know who is far and away the better Qb. Just check their head to head win/loss results.

you know what’s funny? after you vote, it says in a disclaimer “results not scientific”

  • Jason Brant

The closeness is actually surprising. I live just outside of Baltimore and the homerism down here is hilarious.

It is about 50-50 now, with Ben ahead by 69 votes.

I wonder if this poll was done in Pittsburgh what the results would of been?

I’m thinking Big Ben wins by a landslide vote!!

As of my vote… Ben 15825… Flaco 13735

Seems to have shifted back the other way. Or a stuffing of the ballot box but then again, it is Baltimore
