Ravens LB Terrell Suggs Wishes Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger A \’Speedy Recovery\’

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was forced to miss both games against the Baltimore Ravens last season due to injuries and Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs said Thursday he hopes Roethlisberger recovers quickly from his recent knee surgery.

“You know; it just isn’t the same game when the two teams don’t have all their parts playing,” Suggs told the NFL Network, when asked about Roethlisberger\’s recent minor knee surgery. “So you’re absolutely right, I do wish him well, and I hope for him to have a speedy recovery.”

Suggs, who is fresh off his trip to the White House to meet the president, said the final sentence while wearing an ear-to-ear smile, which certainly leaves his remarks open to him being sarcastic. However, since 2004, Suggs has sacked Roethlisberger 15.5 times, which is more than any other player during that span.

After starting out with a 9-3 career record against the Ravens, Roethlisberger has lost the last two games he\’s played against them. He\’ll have to wait until Week 7 this upcoming season to play Suggs and the Ravens with the second meeting between the two teams taking place Thanksgiving night in Baltimore.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

The Bee hive has been officially poked!

That has to be one of the most hideous “ear to ear smiles” on the face of the Earth

    T. Suggs, I hope you enjoyed your SB win and your visit to the White House because you can forget about it this season!!!!!!

Like the one character from Hellraiser..

    Ha! …yes

  • Shea Fahr

Who the heck keeps giving me thumbs down on every comment I make? Was it something I said? Stand up and be counted!! LOL!

  • Shea Fahr

Agreed, we are flying under the radar. Just where we like to be.

  • steeltown

I think you have a secret admirer haha!

  • cencalsteeler

    Even MORE motivation for Ben!

  • Shea Fahr

    HAHA!

I don’t like Suggs. Max never really managed to block Suggs (ok, alot of tackles couldn’t block Suggs) and he hurt Colon last year, and maybe he would still be a Steeler if not for this injury.
I hope Gilbert will be able to handle Suggs.. And then again, if Adams (and hopefully never Whimper) will have his hands full with Dumervil. Could it be that the Ravens D just got better with the “loss” of Reed and Lewis?

  • Shea Fahr

Over the next couple of years when the ramifications of the Flacco deal kick in, we will be there to give them all the pain they can handle. They will be in a transition period of their own. If we can keep Ben healthy, the AFC North crown will be back where it belongs.

I do have to admit this is a fairly classy comment from Suggs. Well that makes one.

  • Michael Mazanowski

I almost gave you a thumbs down to be a smart ass!

  • Michael Mazanowski

    He ugly!

  • Shea Fahr

Ha! Thanks Michael, I know I can always count on you to bring something for better or for worse…but at least you put your NAME to it. Go STEELERS!!

I think he was half serious half joking.

Suggs wants to play the “A” team. Batch did well last year with the supporting cast and came through in the clutch, which almost cost the Ravins. Pounding the ball down their throats won’t be the same without Lewis. I’m looking forward to eating Crow Thanksgiving Night!
