The Terrible Podcast – Talking Mike Adams Stabbing, Steelers Tackle Depth, Roster Move & More Episode

Steelers Podcast

Season 3, Episode 108 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I talk about the recent stabbing of Pittsburgh Steelers tackle Mike Adams early Saturday morning and I attempt to ruffle a few more feathers as it relates to my thoughts on him.

With Adams being sidelined now until training camp, David and I discuss who the next man up might be at right tackle. We also discuss the possibility of the Steelers adding a few more bodies now that release of guard Willie Colon is official and they have $5.5 million in additional salary cap space to work with.

The Steelers went to Dave & Busters on Monday in lieu of practice and they also made a minor roster that we pass along to you.

Third down has been a money down for veteran wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery over the years, so we touch on that is it relates to rookie wide receiver Markus Wheaton being forced to miss all of the OTA sessions as well as the mandatory mini camp.

A few more small talking points are also covered in this episode.

Nels Folkedahl, if Diet Mountain Dew & coffee are controlled substances, then, yes, guilty as charged. I have no problems saying what I said to his face and hopefully he would take what I would say for what it is worth to him. Also, stop being so naive.

  • Michael Mazanowski

Dave, Nels is a Buckeye! They’re all on controlled substances and they get free tattoos, as well!

I just listened to the Terrible Podcast (for the last time) and I’ve now lost all respect for Dave Bryan. The Podcast starts with Dave Todd wanting to talk about the facts and all Dave Bryan wants to do is start talking about things he can only speculate about. Within minutes he’s even admitting that he’s stereotyping Mike Adams and flat out suggesting that it was a drug deal gone bad. And what’s driving that? He can’t help but wonder who tries to rob a back guy, I mean a football player, who’s 6’7″? Well Dave, people with guns don’t care if the person they’re robbing is 6’7″. Maybe the robber was 6’9″. It shocks me that there is absolutely no evidence that Mike Adams did anything wrong, yet all Dave Bryan wants to do is suggest that Mike Adams was doing drugs or that he was drunk. And Dave shows just how hypocritical he is by 1st saying that he wasn’t going to get on his high horse and point fingers at anyone, yet in the same exact breath says Mike Adams was guiilty of … of …. of …. bad judgment. I finally had to shut it off when Dave started suggesting that Adams might be excessively drinking and using drugs because he’s depressed, even though Dave says he’s never met Adams, doesn’t know him and is stereotyping even more. This guy is some piece of work. He doesn’t know if Adams is drinking. He doesn’t know how much Adams is drinking if he is. He doesn’t know why Adams is drinking if he is. And he doesn’t know Adams at all. Yet he has no qualms about making such negative and disparaging comments about the man. If Dave worked for a network we’d never hear from him again. Give him his credit, though. It’s his podcast and he can make as many false, misinformed, ignorant and stereotypical comments as he wants. At least he admitted that he doesn’t like Adams.

Man! Oh man! I saw the light! I saw the light! No more darkness….no more night! Lol!

    Bruce Sgambati must be PMS-ing!

  • Louis Goetz

Um, did you listen to the Podcast? Dave himself said he was stereotyping. That’s not my characterization of what he was doing; that was the label he put on himself.

See ya on the other side.

  • Michael Mazanowski

Louis I just sang I saw the light! WTF do you want from this white honky?! It’s a Christian song for all you atheists out there!

  • Michael Mazanowski

Stereotyping is the assumption that all people within a specific group are the same, lacking individuality! Adams isn’t lacking individuality. . .common sense maybe!

    Eric Metz? is that you?

I am not sure why there seems to be a large group of comments on this blog that do not seem to understand the big picture so here it goes one last time. In the Spring of 2012, Mike Adams had to DRIVE to Pittsburgh and BEG them to burn a 2nd round pick on him after a TROUBLED College career, FAILING a drug test at the combine and then ultimately LYING to Steeler coaches about it when asked. Seeing a pattern here yet?? The man obviously continues to put himself in potentially questionable and dangerous situations. So two things are at play here. 1. He is incredibly STUPID or 2. He has deeper seeded issues and short term memory loss concerning how he became a Steeler to begin with. Being reminded of how he became a Steeler, if you were Adams, what would you have been doing Friday night after midnight?? Ask yourself.
