You Mad Bro? Chris Rainey Says He Wants A Piece Of The Steelers

Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Chris Rainey has yet to be signed by a team since he was released back in early January, but he told cornerback Curtis Brown Wednesday night on Twitter that he can’t wait to play his former team, when and if he ever plays again.

Rainey tweeted, “still waitin on this call, u know I’m goin to have to do y’all when I get back Bruh. I’m sooo mad at the steelers still!!!”

Rainey only has himself to blame right now for being unemployed as he forced the Steelers’ hand due to his character issues. While the January battery charge was eventually reduced to disorderly contact, Rainey’s poor history of dealing with the opposite sex was a pattern that the Steelers wanted nothing to do with. Obviously other teams feel the same way.

At this point, Rainey should consider himself lucky should another team ultimately give him a chance, but being as he is still looking for a job with the start of the regular season now right around the corner, he’s probably played his last down of football in the NFL.

I don’t think the Steelers have to worry about the Florida product doing them any time soon. Perhaps he should consider doing in an Arena team instead.
