2013 NFL Season Prediction Records & Standings

The 2013 NFL season is finally here and it kicks off tonight with the Denver Broncos hosting the Baltimore Ravens on NBC.

As I do every year, below are my record and playoff predictions for the 2013 season.

As you can see, I give the Dallas Cowboys a lot more respect this season than most. I also am not as high on the Washington Redskins as others are. While I think the Seattle Seahawks will have a few bumps along the way, their defense just can't be ignored. I think that they will make the playoffs as the final Wild Card team over the Atlanta Falcons and make it all the way to the Super Bowl from that spot just like the Pittsburgh Steelers did several years ago.

In the AFC, the Denver Broncos look to be a very tough team in 2013 and they will likely be able to coast in several of their games. The Houston Texans defense should only be better this season, but I see them losing in the championship game to the Broncos when all is said and done. As for the Cincinnati Bengals, they should make the playoffs once again, but until their quarterback can prove that he can play in a big game, I don't see them making it very far.

As far as the also-rans go, I really don't see the Baltimore Ravens being a force this year due to all of their losses via retirement and free agency. If they win 11 or more games this year, they will deserve a lot of respect.

The New York Jets will be lucky to win five games this year and I have them winning just two. I also don't expect things to go well for the Philadelphia Eagles, Jacksonville Jaguars or the Oakland Raiders this season, but I'm really not telling you something that you don't already know.

About Dave Bryan

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.
  • TJimmy

I predict they will win the Superbowl. Remember you heard it here first!

  • SteelersDepot

    which they?

  • Kolie Oak

The Tebow curse will effect the Broncos again this year, they might go 15-1, but not to the SB!!!
New England will suffer the Tebow curse as well…
So let’s go ahead and put the Steelers victorious in that divisional game…

  • TJimmy

The whole offense. Their predictability was the issue this preseason. It will come together this month and I think they will be a force…especially with Miller back.

  • Steve

I think TJimmy is talking about the Steelers. The Pats will be an 8-8 team, I see the Steelers being 10-6 this year but see the Bengals winning 12 games. The Saints will win 10 but the Falcons will win 12. 49ers will win 15 and will be my pick to win the SB.

I am more inclined to agree with you than Dave’s prediction. I don’t see the Saints winning the NFCS or Dallas winning the NFCE.

  • Weiss Chad

Seems pretty dead on to me.I like the texans vs the packers. Its not going out on to much of a limb but something tells me hopkins put Houston over the top this yr.I think as long as you got rogers you have as good of a chance as anyone ala dom capers, kevin greene and darren perry running defense.

  • ATL96STEELER

    Interesting Dave.

The DIVs we’re syncing up on is the AFCN…I do think CIN could be a 10-6 team so it could come down to tiebreakers.

AFCW…I think DEN will win it but they don’t have a 1 loss DEF.

AFCE…I think NE wins this by a couple of games, but they will lose more than 4 gms…11-5

    AFCS…that looks about right

NFCN…agree on GB taking it, but not 13-3…I’m guessing 11-5.

NFCE…always a struggle for me to figure this DIV out…I think RG3 has a bit Soph slump…I like DAL as well, but not much confidence in the pick.

NFCW…like RG3 I think both Kaep, & R. Wilson take a small step back…SF DEF is so strong that 12 wins is possible, but I think 11-5

NFCS…I agree on the Falcons, but I don’t see NO being much better…that one will come down to a tiebreaker with both teams @ 10-6.
