Steelers Injury Report: G Ramon Foster Suffers Pectoral Injury In Loss

The Pittsburgh Steelers are now 0-4 following there loss Sunday in London to the Minnesota Vikings and they may have lost another offensive lineman as well.

During his post-game press conference, head coach Mike Tomlin said left guard Ramon Foster suffered a pectoral injury of some kind during the game and that it will need to be evaluated.

Also according to Tomlin, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered an injury to the index finger on his throwing hand in the fourth quarter. Roethlisberger did finish the game, however.

Safety Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith suffered a left quad injury in the game and linebacker Kion Wilson suffered a hamstring injury.

Rookie wide receiver Markus Wheaton broke a fifth finger on his hand during the game but Tomlin said he was able to return.

The Steelers have a bye next week and then will face the New York Jets in week six.

About Dave Bryan

The Jets off a bye. Not that a win will do a damn thing other than give them a win. But if they don’t win that then they will have officially become the worst team in the NFL. It’s a sad state of affairs.

  • Fire.Mike.Tomlin

    Will become?
LOL. You’re 2 weeks late to the party.

  • Mkeller

Not willing to anoint them over the Jags just yet. Close….but not yet.

  • sean mcmartin

now we have Whimper, Gilbert, Adams starting..Time to take chances with other teams Practice squads..someone is trying to hide a starter.

  • treeher

It was the defense today that lost the game.

  • RW

The offensive line wasn’t so great, either.

  • pittsburghjoe

We can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing Obama care is here to help these needy individuals.

  • Chad H

Don’t forget the Rooney family puts money and supports that guy. He is as good at being President as Tomlin is at head coaching.

  • pittsburghjoe

Every ticket sale is a campaign contribution.

  • Shannon Stephenson

    good point

  • Shannon Stephenson

Hard to be worse then the Jags.

  • RW

    You’re an idiot.

  • RW

If only we played them to find out…

  • pittsburghjoe

Just realistic. Don’t be mean because Im right.

  • jtw

Instead of Suck for Luck the Steelers need a suck for an offensive tackle campaign for next years draft.
Clark and Cortez killed the defense this game. Clark keeps trying to blow people up and missing assignments

  • Bob Loblaw

Ben frequently had room to step up in the pocket and they were facing one of the best pass rushers in the league. Not saying they should win any awards, but it wasn’t all bad.

  • GunsDontKillWoodleyKills

    Please explain how….

  • pittsburghjoe

Rooney is a huge contributor to his campaign. The more money Rooney gets, the more money Obama gets. Not to mention nice appointments (i.e. throw a complimentory ambassadorship his way)

  • Chad H

He is an idiot because he based his statement on facts.
Funny you must be a liberal because when you are wrong you resort to name calling.

  • GunsDontKillWoodleyKills

So being that I am a Steelers ticket holder, I should give up my tickets if I don’t agree with Obama? You interested in buying them?

  • RedCarpetDefense

Ben will not finish the season behind this O-line.

  • Chad H

Looking at the rest of the schedule I believe we will finish 4 and 12.
We will have a top 5 draft pick and a new system to learn with the exit of Haley and maybe Tomlin. It is also possible Dick is gone after this season.

  • CrazyTerry

You are idiots because all you morons do is inject politics. Get over your insane hatred.

  • retiredmd7

More lies, utter stupidity and hypocrisy! You clearly know NOTHING about the ACA. Virtually every comment and criticism made by the lying Republicans concerning Obamacare is deceit and typical fear mongering (ie Death Panels), designed to persuade the ignorant American public not to support the law. What are the Republicans afraid of? That the majority of the public will come to appreciate the ACA? Or that the insurance exchanges include voter registration making the Republican effort to disenfranchise voters more difficult?

  • CrazyTerry

The Rooneys supported republicans too. Seriously, are we going to go after who they support politically just because you are pissed at their team?

  • CrazyTerry

Foster was havin a bad year. But where his injury hurts is we can no longer use Beachum at LT. Adams was so clearly the weak link on a much improved offense that I wanted to strangle the coaches for being so blind to notice this for weeks. You want to fix the team? Start with Adams going to the right side as a backup. Denver’s BACKUP LT was better than Adams when their starting LT went down.

  • CrazyTerry

maybe you should go support the Redskins or the Cowboys whose owners did not support obama. What a bunch of morons we have today. Keep politics out of this. Last time , I checked, Lebeau had full control of this defense and as a unit, they were 100% responsible for this loss. Adams may have been the worst individual player, but the D has been showing signs of this for weeks. We just did not notice it as much because our O was worse in past weeks.

I see some racist idiots here who cant stick to bashing Tomlin for his mistakes alone. Hell, I bash Tomlin for some really stupid moves. But I dont link it with Obama.

  • CrazyTerry

They were passable. It was Adams who stunk up the joint. Adams grade : F-
    Rest pof the OL: C

  • retiredmd7

Sure, lets turn over the country to the likes of Cruz, Paul, Cantor, Ryan and the rest of the Tea Party hypocrites and liars who would rather damage the economy with a shut down than enforce a law passed by both houses of Congress, reaffirmed by the 2012 presidential election and ratified by the Supreme Court. Or the likes of McCain and Graham who want to go to war with Iran tomorrow. Or the rest of the right-wing Republican scumbags who NEVER sought accommodation, negotiation or bipartisanship with Obama. Their primary concerns were and remain destruction of the Obama presidency no matter the cost to the nation while pushing for tax reductions for wealthy individuals and corporations while gutting Medicare and Social Security.
I thought the gross ineptitude, deceit and incompetence under G W Bush, the worst president in a century, was bad. However, the Tea Party represents an even greater potential danger to the welfare of this nation. Should they come to power, this country will become a second-rate nation economically, socially, educationally and, ultimately, militarily. Just like our Steelers.

  • SteelersDepot

Knock of the politics. Talk football or go somewhere else.

  • Nolrog

The Jets had a rough game today, but they haven’t been all that bad. Their defense is pretty good in fact, and if they QB was decent, they could clock in 8 or 9 wins. The thing that worries me, is that (if I remember correctly) Tomlin doesn’t have his teams well prepared the week after the bye.

  • joe

they look a lot better then the Giants or the Jags
the are scoring points but the O-line only has a couple of good drives
and the defense is missing tackles

  • HopalongCassidy

Sorry pal, you’re the low-information voter.

  • RW

He is (and you are) an idiot because he throws politics into a message board about the Steelers, and has everyone on here up in arms. Aside from the fact that there were no facts, this is ridiculous.

  • T R

Please no.. i dont not want to embarrass us and play them or the Giants.

  • T R

thats what i will do.. just start cutting and grabing practice squaders..

  • RW

DeCastro and (surprisingly) Gilbert were good. The rest of the line was below average in my opinion. And just having one lineman play the way Adams did constitutes a poor game overall.

  • Shannon Stephenson

Dont want to know the outcome…lol

  • Shannon Stephenson

or any game that comes on Sunday or Monday and sometimes Thursday.

  • Chad H

    You are so correct.
Passed by all democrats in both houses. Americans said no and guess what we got it.

Sorry we are all Steelers fans here and you are entitled to your opinion but that was the biggest rumblings of bullshit I have ever read.
    Kool-aid anyone .

  • Rob

Yep gas prices less than half of what they are now, unemployment under 5% an economy that was growing instead of shrinking yep that was all bad. But hey don’t let the facts get in your way. Lets just continue to destroy the energy infrastructure in this country, never mind that we have 300 years worth of coal, instead lets continue to throw money at things like Solindra and spend as much every year as G.W. spent in eight while fighting a war.

  • r4kolb

When are HIS teams ever well prepared? He rode Cowhers teams his first couple years. This is HIS team for the most part now.

  • WilliamSekinger

Well, this looks like a great thread to stay away from…

  • Dan

There were several plays where Adams caused us to “lose” on the play. If Adams would have held his block, decided who to block, or at least yelled at Ben that somebody is coming, on any of those plays, the whole game could have been different.

  • 70′s Fan

Why in the hell can’t someone disagree with Tomlin without you and others on this forum calling them racist or worse? I don’t give a shit what color he is. He and a lot of other Steeler employees are doing a lousy job right now.
