Steelers RB LaRod Stephens-Howling Out Of Game With Knee injury

The injuries continue to pile up for the Pittsburgh Steelers as backup running back LaRod Stephens-Howling is now out of the game with a right knee injury.

Stephens-Howling replaced starter Isaac Redman, who fumbled twice in the first half. Felix Jones is now the next man up at running back if Redman is not put back in.

The Steelers have already lost Maurkice Pouncey (knee) and Cortez Allen (ankle) to injuries earlier in the game.

The Titans currently lead the Steelers 10-2 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Do we need to call Dwyer?

  • Christopher Wilkes

Tell me again why Dwyer deserved to be cut.

  • sean mcmartin

because with an O-line as bad as this one you need a first round pick just to get more than 19 yards rushing.

  • Dan

Because he fumbled in preseason and didn’t always make the right running decisions. That is why we went with Redman who didn’t make as many mistakes while he was standing on the sidelines. So now I’m sure Dwyer was watching this game from the couch, saying WTF! Just like I was.

  • Dan

….and can anyone tell me why after we lost Pouncey, we give LSH a heavy workload of runs up the middle? I like LaRod, but he’s not a pound it down your throat kinda guy. Heck give D.Johnson a shot if you want to play that game. I don’t want to be a Haley basher…but I’m feeling it right now.

  • Christopher Wilkes

Yeah, 8 rushes, 9 yards, and 2 fumbles for Redman. Awesome display to back up his 2 carry performance during the preseason. Party like it’s 1999. Steelers are the cream of the crap!

  • sean mcmartin

Dan With this O-line RB and QB don’t matter, They now have to scheme for shotgun formations for Ben to have at least 2 seconds to release.
And the opposing defense’s will be anticipating the any way you look at it.

Torn ACL. Done for the season. Maybe Jones can step it up. Doubtful but…

  • Douglas Andrews

I’m sorry why did we give Redman a rest during preseason only 2 carries?, cut our leading rusher from last year and all we get out of our starter is alittle more than a 1yard average and 2 fumbles. I’ve always thought Redman was not a #1RB and he didi nothing to disprove what i’ve always thought.

  • Douglas Andrews

Jones is the only real possible running threat. Redman’s performance just a shame…pitiful!

  • Christopher Wilkes

Tomlin tantrum. Just like when he ran Rainey up the middle last year after his top 3 RBs fumbled the ball one after another.
