Report: Steelers Trade For T Levi Brown

According to Pro Football Talk, the Pittsburgh Steelers have worked out a trade with the Arizona Cardinals that will bring tackle Levi Brown to Pittsburgh

Brown was originally drafted by the Cardinals with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft out of Penn State. He originally played right tackle in Arizona before moving to left tackle in 2010.

Brown signed a five-year, $30 million contract extension last year and it included $12 million in guaranteed money. Based on the $4.75 million base salary he was scheduled to earn this season, he will carry a 2013 cap charge of $3.632 million with 13 weeks remaining.

Brown was forced to sit out the 2012 season with a triceps injury.

The steelers obviously will have to make cap roomk to afford Brown. We will know soon what the compensation was and it very well could include Isaac Redman.
