Steelers Injury Report: LaMarr Woodley And Brett Keisel Both Listed Friday As Questionable

The Friday injury report is now out for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Cleveland Browns Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Not practicing on Friday and ruled out for the game are safety Shamarko Thomas (ankle) and linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring). Thomas isn’t likely to be ready for the game next week against the Baltimore Ravens, according to a source.

Limited on Friday after not practicing on Thursday were defensive end Brett Keisel (foot) and linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf). Both are listed as questionable on the final injury report and there’s a good chance that both will be sidelined on Sunday. If Woodley is out again, Jason Worilds will start in his place again at left outside linebacker.

Practicing fully on Friday and listed as probable are tackle Kelvin Beachum (hip), guard Ramon Foster (ankle), tight end Heath Miller (not injury related), wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot) and center Fernando Velasco (knee). Foster is expected to start at left guard after missing the game last week with an ankle injury.

Foster starting over Whimper is good news… Abdullah is not a Left side guy

  • AndyR34

Abdullah is not an anyside guy!

  • steeltown

He played admirably filing in for Gilbert and then for DeCastro both of those times obviously on the Right, he is very average but he clearly plays better on the Right side, which is not surprising being that he has primarily played RT his entire college and professional career

I am excited to see jones and Worldis vs a better oline. See what we really have there.

I can’t believe we are dogs to teh browns.

If im not mistaken Matthew Stafford had been sacked a League low 10times heading into last weeks game, they have a pretty darn good OL

  • Jeff

Let Woodley sit. If he plays he’ll more than likely hurt himself again.

Very disappointed in Woodley. He may shine for a play or two. And grab a coverage sack here and there. But , overall not the same player w/out debo on the other side. Unfortunately seems like there’s no passion. Could be said about the whole defense.

  • Jeff

I can’t agree on the “no passion” part. The effort seems to be there IMO. Guys are out there fighting for their jobs. They just aren’t as good on the defensive side of the ball as they were over the last 10 years. It’s not a knock on them though, they’ve been REALLY REALLY good for a long time.

We’ve had a lot of missed tackles. Other guys running right through our hands. Veteran hands. We’ve given up lot YAC. I guess I should look up the numbers to prove my point.

I would actually like to see some more play from Worilds on the left. If Woodley were ready, how about sprinkling him in on the right side?
