Packers Injury Report: QB Aaron Rodgers Limited Wednesday; Still Not Cleared To Play

The Green Bay Packers first injury report of the week is now in and shows that quarterback Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) practiced on a limited basis. Rodgers, however, who hasn’t played since injuring his collarbone against the Chicago Bears back in early November, still hasn’t been medically cleared to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He reportedly took some reps with the second-team offense on Wednesday, however.

“He’s doing better,” head coach Mike McCarthy said after Wednesday’s practice, according to the team web site. “He’s still not been cleared by the medical staff. He threw the ball extremely well. He looked sharp. He’s getting better.”

The Packers will likely wait until Friday to make a decision as to whether or not Rodgers or Matt Flynn will start Sunday.

Also limited on Wednesday were defensive tackle Ryan Pickett (knee) and defensive end C.J. Wilson (ankle).

Not practicing were tight end Brandon Bostick (foot), defensive end Johnny Jolly (shoulder, neck), linebacker Brad Jones (ankle), running back Eddie Lacy (ankle), defensive end Mike Neal (abdomen) and linebacker Nick Perry (foot).

Lacy was reportedly given the day off and expected to be ready to play come Sunday.
