Steelers Emerge From Loss To Dolphins Without Suffering Any Major Injuries

Not that it’s a big deal at this point, but the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to come out of Sunday loss to the Miami Dolphins without any major injuries.

“No major injuries. Just minor bumps and bruises associated with playing,” said head coach Mike Tomlin during his post game press conference.

Nose tackle Steve McLendon, however, did leave the game for a short period of time after it looked like he re-aggravated his ankle injury and defensive end Ziggy Hood also left with a right ankle injury, but managed to return to the game.

The only other in-game injury suffered was to cornerback Ike Taylor. Taylor left briefly in the beginning of the third quarter after colliding with safety Ryan Clark following a completion to Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline. It was officially termed a rib injury and Taylor quickly returned to the field.

The Steelers were without the services Sunday of defensive end Brett Keisel and tackle Kelvin Beachum against the Dolphins. Keisel sat because of a foot injury, while Beachum was nursing a sprained knee.

dont know if thats true i think they came out this game with a lot of injuries and not the pain or sore kind …seems the teams come to terms now with the season from some of the comments from them and their pride has been hurt alot …if the coaches and the boss dont use these last few games to see where probs are and who should stay and who should go the injuries next season will be to deep to cut out and ripping off the bandaid so the team can heal wont happen next season …i dont see the draft next season as a cure all if they want to stop the bleeding more time should be spent on free agency players so the bleeding can be cauterized…and what ever steelers are doing to prevent all the sprains the lines been experienceing this year and last year isnt working new trainers or dr in this area is sorely needed by this team ….

I couldn’t believe it when Ike came back so quickly. He took a hell of a shot to the head, I would have assumed he would be sidelined for concussion testing.

I do not want to see our players hurt but at this time does it matter for this year?
