Steelers LB Jason Worilds Inactive; Browns To Be Without CB Joe Haden

Pittsburgh Steelers soon-to-be unrestricted free agent linebacker Jason Worilds is inactive for the 2013 regular season finale against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday as he was unable to recover from an abdomen injury suffered last Sunday in the win over the Green Bay Packers.

With Worilds out, Chris Carter will more than likely start in his place opposite rookie Jarvis Jones with Stevenson Sylvester also likely to see time depending on how the rotation goes. Also active for the first time this season is outside linebacker Jamaal Westerman, who was signed to the roster when LaMarr Woodley was placed on injured reserve.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, who will more than likely be gone via free agency during the offseason, is active for the Sunday game as it appears he will give it go after suffering a knee injury last week. Just in case, the Steelers decided to dress five receivers as Derek Moye is also active for the game.

Rounding out the inactives are Landry Jones, Hebron Fangupo, Brian Arnfelt, Isaiah Green, Terence Garvin and David Snow.

The Browns will be without a few key players in the game as cornerback Joe Haden and nose tackle Phil Taylor are both on the inactive list. Rookie Leon McFadden is expected to start in place of Haden, so expect the Steelers to attack him early and often in the passing game.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

I am surprised the Patriot coaching staff is letting Sanders play. Lord knows that I stink at predictions (I remember saying the Steelers would regret taking Big Ben and what a mistake it was to trade up for Troy) but here goes. I think everything will fall the Steelers way until the KC game. Andy R will rest everyone, KC will lose in a blowout. Then the next week KC will be blown out of the playoffs and Andy R will moan that they were rusty and that he will never do that again. Damn I hope I am wrong and we see 1989 all over again. I remember that season, it was amazing and could have been better if Mark Stock realized they paid him to catch balls thrown right at his chest numbers.

At least Worilds won’t add to his sack total and thereby raise his value.

Do we really have to start Chris Carter?!!

Would be a nice time for Jones to really make his presence felt.

thought the same thing…had he played and picked up another 2-3 sacks it could have price him out of their range (pending Woodley decision of course).
