The Terrible Podcast – Talking Steelers Dolphins Recap, Worilds Future & More Episode

Season 4, Episode 55 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I look at the good, bad the ugly following the Pittsburgh Steelers 34-28 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and yes, we even discuss a few of the decisions made by head coach Mike Tomlin during the game as well.

We talk about the use of linebacker Jason Worilds on the left side even with LaMarr Woodley returning to action and also look a little bit ahead to his future as it relates to free agency. In addition to Worilds, we also take a tiny look ahead at some of the players who are scheduled to make top dollar in 2014 as well as a few of the scheduled unrestricted free agents.

We tease you a little bit with our opening thoughts on draft needs as the season looks to be over at this point. It’s a nice change of pace for us.

As usual, there are a few more talking points scattered throughout the show.

I think if Worilds isn’t back next year, our pass rush is going to suffer significantly because I don’t think Jones is going to make that jump in his second year. Not only is Jones making mental mistakes, it’s his physicality that has me worried. You’ll often see him take himself out of the play cause he isn’t confident enough when taking on tackles so he speed rushes and ends up doing a huge semi circle aroudn the pocket no where near the qb.
If i was to go with my gut. I’d definitely let Sanders walk and draft a big body possesion receiver.
Get Troy to take a pay cut. Let Ryan Clarke walk and see what Sharmarko Thomas and Rob Golden can do in the FS spot.
The rest i have no idea haha.
Dave I completely agree with the Mike Adams situation. Keep him in the game for the rest of the season and assess if they need to draft another tackle. If he plays solid than that high pick can go somewhere else. Adams is a second round pick, they need to determine asap if he can be the future there, i still think he has the potential to be.

I don’t understand David Todd. If they make the fourth down, the defense stays on the bench.

Is Worlids eligible for an original round tender next year? If so, I would say that would be a decent option to retain him.

give me levi brown, johnathan martin and the rest to battle in camp, keep worilds, let sanders go, let woodly play out, let dick lebaux ride off, if hailey leaves give me kubiak or kyle shanahan for OC.
