Broncos Versus Seahawks In Super Bowl XLVIII

Super Bowl XLVIII is now set as the Denver Broncos will play the Seattle Seahawks two weeks from today in New Jersey.

The Broncos handled the New England Patriots 26-16 in the early AFC Championship game as quarterback Peyton Manning threw for 400 yards and two touchdowns. The Broncos also out-rushed the Patriots 107-64 in the game.

Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas had a monster game as he caught seven passes for 134 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Neither team turned the ball over in the game, but the Broncos were able to move down the field in chunks as they finished the game with five more explosive plays of 20 yards or more than the Patriots had.

In the hard-hitting NFC Championship game that followed, the Seahawks rallied from a 10-3 halftime deficit to beat the San Francisco 49ers 23-17.

Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith intercepted a pass intended for 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree in the end zone with less than 30 seconds left in the game to seal the win. The interception, however, came as a result of a nice play by cornerback Richard Sherman, who deflected the pass from Colin Kaepernick up into the air and into the arms of Smith.

Kaepernick finished the game 14-of-24 for 153 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also chipped in 130 yards on 11 runs in the loss.

For the victorious Seahawks, quarterback Russell Wilson was 16-of-25 passing for 215 yards with one touchdown. Running back Marshawn Lynch also chipped in 109 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in the win.

Many of the major betting sites have installed the Broncos as a one point favorite over the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
