Steelers Defensive Assistant Coach Jerry Olsavsky Expected To Stay For Now

According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive assistant Jerry Olsavsky will be staying with the team for now.

Olsavsky, who was added to the Steelers staff in 2010, was to interview with the Buffalo Bills this past week for their open linebackers coach position. On Friday, however, the Bills annouced that Fred Pagac was hired to coach that position.

Olsavsky was drafted by the Steelers in the 10th round of the 1989 NFL Draft, and played linebacker from 1989-97. He saw action in 108 games for the Steelers, making 227 tackles, while also excelling on special teams.
