About Dave Bryan

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.
  • StarSpangledSteeler

Do you know of any players who got snubbed? Who should’ve been invited that did not?

  • Iron Cadet

    You forgot one…

  • Kevin Gobleck

I was hoping that Glenn Carson (Penn St. LB) would have gotten and invite. For some reason Penn St. linebackers usually make great pros

  • Douglas Andrews

85 underclassman is striking. Can’t help but to think what kind of draft this one would be without so many ?Also wonder if College football will ever try and restrict the number of underclassmen declaring for the NFL draft?

  • Kevin Gobleck

Yea i hope they try to stick to Seniors and some Juniors with a Sophomore here and there if they are getting old like Kelvin Benjamin

  • Gerald Brown

    Chaz Sutton – South Carolina
    Morgan Breslin – USC
    Zach Bauman – North Arizona

  • Douglas Andrews

It’s great for the NFL but for College football it drains quite a bit of talent from teams.

  • Kevin Gobleck

Well even with some kids though it would help them to stay in college like Mike Evens for example who could become more polished running routes and maybe even gain more speed. Granted you can learn that in the NFL, but there isn’t much patience for it like they have in college

  • StarSpangledSteeler

Morgan Breslin is a surprising omission. Is he hurt?

  • 243546

I don’t think there’s anything that the NCAA can do about underclassmen leaving. All of the current restrictions were put in place by the NFL. Besides, if a university can pull an athlete’s scholarship when ever they please, then an athlete should be able to leave the program whenever he pleases.

  • Gerald Brown

Now that you mention it I think he had hip surgery this past season.

  • ATL96STEELER

It does but not enough to really hurt the college product as it has in the NBA.

  • ATL96STEELER

After scanning the list, most of the later pick guys will be there that I want to see how they do…Ray Carruethers, NT Ark St. is one guy I want to see. The WAS TE, Seferian -Jenkins, and WR Martavious Byrant among them.

  • Rylie Richardson

Brett Smith Quarterback from Wyoming some draft analysts had him as high as the 5th ranked quarterback and no one had him lower then 10th, it’s a joke he didnt get invited considering the two that did get invited from wyoming. He was a legend at Wyoming.

  • Douglas Andrews

Yeah it kinda worked against both. Hard to follow a college basketball team nowadays because you know the kids will leave in a couple of years. As far as the NBA goes I like the product but have to agree with you that the Kids aren’t as polished coming out of college because they don’t stay long enough to learn the fundamentals of a team game like they used to.

  • Douglas Andrews

Oh I couldn’t agree with you more I’m definitely on the players side, but i’m just thinking that at some point the NCAA is gonna step in when the ratings start to drop. That’s if that should start to happen. Just thinking hopefully it won’t happen because I’m a big fan of college football.

  • SFIC

I agree. Zach Bauman was by far the best RB at the Senior Bowl.
