Season 4, Episode 77 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I get things started by talking about Missouri defensive lineman Michael Sam and his decision to announce that he is gay with less than two weeks to the NFL Combine taking place. We discuss how teams may or may not react to this, the reactions thus far by current and former players around the league and whether or not it will drop his draft stock. In addition, we talk about Sam as a player and what we have observed of him on tape.
After spending a lot of time on the Sam topic, we move on to talk about a current compensatory draft pick projection that is floating around right now that has the Pittsburgh Steelers receiving three of them this offseason for free agent loses they incurred last year.
Larry Foote was asked to give his thoughts over the weekend on marijuana and what Ryan Clark had to say on “First Take”, so we briefly discuss his comments.
We mix in a few other tiny tidbits concerning the offseason in addition before closing out this Monday episode. We will be back on Thursday and hope to discuss a few more draft prospects in addition to any other Steelers news that has taken place between now and then
