Browns Sign Former Texans RB Ben Tate

There’s a new starting running back in the AFC North as of Saturday as the Cleveland Browns have reportedly now come to terms with former Houston Texans running back Ben Tate.

Tate has been stuck behind Arian Foster in Houston ever since he was drafted in the second round in the 2010 NFL Draft by Texans, but has still managed to rush for nearly 2,000 yards and 10 touchdowns over the course of the last three seasons.

The Browns traded away former first-round running back Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts early last season and in doing so, they were left with Willis McGahee and Chris Ogbonnaya to carry the load.

Now that they have addressed the running back position, the Browns can turn their attention to several other needs they still currently have in the May draft.
