Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jonathan Dwyer has taken issue with my previous report stating he was not wanted back in 2014 and he wanted to set the record straight.
Dwyer has informed me that he had an opportunity to return to the Steelers in 2014, but that he thought the opportunity the Arizona Cardinals were going to give him was a better one.
Dwyer signed a one-year, qualifying contract this past week with the Cardinals where he’ll be reunited with head coach Bruce Arians, who was the Steelers offensive coordinator when he was drafted.
So there you go. The Steelers wanted Dwyer back, but he wanted to go elsewhere. He also wanted everyone to know that he gave his all for the black and gold.
