2014 Draft

Draft Analyst Charles Davis Has MSU CB Darqueze Dennard Going To Steelers In Latest Mock Draft

NFL.com draft analyst Charles Davis has now released the latest version of his mock of the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and he has a cornerback going to the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 15th overall selection.

This time around, Davis has Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard going to the Steelers as the second cornerback off the board behind Justin Gilbert of Oklahoma State

Davis writes:

Steelers would be excited to see the former Spartans star still available.

The pick certainly makes sense as cornerback is certainly a big need for the Steelers in this draft. At his recent Pro Day, Dennard met with Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert and head coach Mike Tomlin.

Now that the Steelers have signed safety Mike Mitchell, most of the national media mocks seem to be off of the safety bandwagon except for Rob Rang of CBS Sports, who in his recently released mock has the Steelers taking Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. In addition, the love fest of Notre Dame nose tackle Louis Nix III seems to be behind us as well.
