Report: Two Other Teams Plus Packers Interested In Free Agent RB James Starks

Green Bay Packers unrestricted free agent running back James Starks is expected to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers this week, but he might have a few other teams interested in talking to him before he signs a deal.

According to Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, two teams in addition to the Steelers are interested in Starks and a source has also told him that the Packers are also in the mix to re-sign him.

The Steelers currently have three other running backs under contract for the 2014 season other than starter Le’Veon Bell, but all three have yet to play a down in the NFL.

The Steelers reportedly wanted to re-sign unrestricted free agent Jonathan Dwyer this offseason, but the former sixth-round draft pick decided to sign a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals instead.

In four seasons with the Packers, Starks rushed for 1,427 yards and five touchdowns on 322 regular season carries. He was originally drafted by the Packers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Buffalo.
