Steelers Sign Former Saints WR Lance Moore

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed another free agent and it’s former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Lance Moore, who agreed to a two-year contract on Friday.

Moore, who visited the Steelers this past week, will now assume the role that veteran wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery played the last three seasons. Cotchery signed with the Carolina Panthers on Thursday.

Moore has caught 346 passes for 4,281 yards and 38 touchdowns since arriving the league in 2008 as an undrafted free agent. He did, however, miss three games last season with a wrist injury.

Moore already knows at least one current Steelers play well as he played with backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski at the University of Toledo.
