Bortles Working With Roethlisberger During Pre Draft Process Not A Huge Surprise

According to a Monday report, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has worked some with UCF quarterback Blake Bortles during the pre draft process.

Bortles, who has drawn several comparisons to Roethlisberger over the last several months, is expected to be drafted in the top half of the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and several think that he could wind up being the first overall pick.

Being as Bortles is represented by Rep1 Sports, which also represents Roethlisberger, it’s probably not a big surprise that the two have worked some together during the offseason.

Bortles has reportedly been training this offseason at Velocity Sports Performance and that’s the same place that Roethlisberger trains at during the offseason.

Earlier in the offseason, it was reported that Roethlisberger was out in Southern California working alongside several draft prospects and there’s a good chance Bortles was one of them.

I hope Ben can work in Landry Jones in his FREE time.

Cleveland reportedly looking for a qb similar to Ben. Maybe they should have taken Ben instead it of Winslow. Whatever, worked out for us and they will find a way to screw it up in this year’s draft if givin the chance to take bortles at 4

    Lol hear ya there

If Evans Gilbert Denard are all gone I say grab this guy let him groom behind Ben 3yrs then boom.

Bortles is considered by many to be the top pick and will definitely go in top 5 and wouldn’t make sense for the steelers with so many other needs.

Think they will still be friends after the Texans lose to the steelers in the afc championship.

Lets trade away Big Ben + maurkice pouncey, this years #1 and #2 and next years #1 as well as #2 to move up and draft this guy.. we’ll be set for the next decade. Bortles will cost a lot less allowing us to trade for mike wallace! he is the reason the steelers made it to the superbowl vs green bay and if Big Ben threw the ball to him more, the steelers would have won. He was getting open all day and catching everything that came his way. The only problem is I think Roethlisberger will be upset because he’ll be traded away from his favorite offensive coordinator.

Have you been hitting the sauce again.

    I hope your joking.

maybe.. maybe not 😉 I’ll let people take it how they want buwahahaha

Then we’d change our name to the Oakland Brown Redskins via Dallas.

sadly.. although some of those teams made some terrible decisions during drafts.. at least none of them gave away all of their picks for a rb.. lol
