So 2 or 3 of these players may not get drafted in the first round. Sucks for them in the national spotlight.

  • Paddy

    I won’t be attending

  • Jason

Speaks to the depth of this draft or maybe a weak top end but solid talent overall.

  • Matt Manzo

It’s gonna be the “Johnny” show for awhile, but I’m surprised Latimer and Garapolo are there.
(I guess if they’re there to be day two watchers it makes sense)

  • Iron Cadet

  • SfSteeler

7 WRs (8 if you count Ebron) and ZERO RBs!?… šŸ™

  • AzheDraven

I wonder how many of these guys are really sure they will be drafted on Thursday. If I were them I would go just because I love the draft. Lol.

  • Kevin Gobleck

So at max, 30 awkward bro hugs

  • Mike Frantz

Not sure how much it means, but Dennard is conspicuous in his absence. I know there has been talk that he’s being perceived as a 2nd round pick by many teams, but if you made me predict who the Steelers were going to take, I would have said him. Now…not so sure.

  • HardPunkKore

That means nothing, he probably wants to share this special moment with close family and no cameras in his face.

  • joed32

You’re right, and there were other players who said no, they wanted to be with family and friends. Doesn’t mean a thing that he won’t be there and here are some others:
Derek Carr, Anthony Barr, Aaron Donald, Darqueze Dennard, Zack Martin, and Dee Ford to name a few.

  • T R

Out of this list? who do you think will not walk up to the podium? and will drop to 2nd rd or lower?

  • joed32

Martin and maybe Carr but that’s only a wild guess. Nobody knows what the teams have on their draft boards but you can bet that some of the players in attendance will drop to the second round.

  • 20Stoney

    That really needs to end…..

  • patrick Mayfield

more like around 5 of them. A typical mock draft out there only pegs 25-28 of the first round guy. The huddle report does a contest on this and you can see the scoring from 2013 if you google it. It’ll be interested to what players feel led-on by teams/agents that they were going to get taken in the first.

  • Kevin Gobleck

Yeah, a simple hand shake would do

  • Josh Knepshield

Jordan Matthews is gonna have fun in the green room until the 3rd round. LOL
