Steelers 2014 Schedule Not Expected To Be Released Until Wednesday At Earliest

If you are waiting on the release of the Pittsburgh Steelers 2014 schedule in order to plan your vacation, you might have to wait another day or two.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Wednesday is the current target date for the release of the 2014 NFL Schedule and there’s a chance that could be delayed one day until Thursday.

The Steelers opponents for the 2014 season have long been etched in stone as that part of the process was wrapped up the moment the 2013 regular season ended.

Here, once again, are the teams that they will play and hopefully we will have dates and times to put next to these by the end of the week.

HOME: Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, New Orleans, TampaBay

AWAY: Atlanta, Baltimore, Carolina, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Jacksonville, New York Jets, Tennessee

No away west coast games? Nice! Tennessee game will have interesting sub plots.

This looks like a favorable schedule for the Steelers. Barring any major injuries, the playoffs certainly look attainable.

This is the year to get Carolina away if you have to play them away. Two or three of their best offensive linemen have either retired or moved on. Their receiving corps is a mess. They’ve had a lot of turnover in their supporting cast on defense as well. Meaning that those elite players like Kuechly are going to have to cover a lot more ground while newer teammates learn the system.

Probably going to be a down year for the Panthers all things considered.
