Larry Foote’s One-Year Contract With The Cardinals Worth $1.02 Million

As expected, the one-year contract that former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Larry Foote signed with the Arizona Cardinals earlier this week was a veteran qualifying deal.

Foote, who just over a month ago said he wouldn’t accept a deal at the minimum level, is scheduled to earn a base salary of $955,000 in 2014. He also received a $65,000 signing bonus and his reduced cap charge will be $635,000 if he makes the Cardinals final 53 man roster.

Foote, who missed 15 games last season due to a torn biceps suffered in the season opener, was released by the Steelers this past March. He was originally scheduled to make $1.5 million in 2014 prior to him being released.

Foote will turn 34 in June and was originally drafted by the Steelers in the fourth-round of the 2002 NFL Draft out of Michigan.
