Report: Browns WR Josh Gordon Faces Suspension After Testing Positive For Marijuana

According to T.J. Quinn and Don Van Natta Jr. of, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon failed a drug test months ago and could now face a season-long suspension as a result.

Sources reportedly told ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” on Friday that Gordon tested positive for marijuana this time around. Gordon’s agent Drew Rosenhaus declined to comment when reached out to and called the information “not true.”

Gordon, who led the Browns with 87 receptions last season, also led the league in receiving yards with 1,646. Losing him for an entire season would obviously be a huge blow to the Browns, who open the 2014 season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This is not the first time that Gordon has been linked to marijuana use as he was dismissed from Baylor after being suspended twice for using the drug.

We’ll see what the Browns do Friday night in the second and third rounds of the 2014 NFL Draft as many expect them to address the wide receiver position. If indeed Gordon is to be suspended for the season, it shouldn’t be long until the league formally announces it.

The factory of sadness is still open. At some point I may even start to feel bad for these fans but not while Johnny douchebag is there.

Saying it could be the entire year. Now they really should have taken Sammy Watkins. Man I almost feel bad for Brown’s fans…..ALMOST.

  • Paddy

  • richheddleson

Ray Farmer has been fired for not taking Sammy Watkins

The poor fans are there because of the city and the history, as they have nothing to do with the hierarchy of the Browns. I feel for those fans, as only the ancient ones ever saw the great Browns teams of old.

  • blackandgoldBullion

Close. It would have been great if he kept picking studs and left “Johnny’s gonna get kicked like a Football” alone at 22 .

  • steeltown

    Ha! dumb

  • blackandgoldBullion

Wait a minute. This can’t be correct. If they knew for months, they would have already handed down a ruling. The NFL can’t possibly be such idiots! What am I saying? Sounds about right.

  • scott2443

and nfl network had already proclaimed browns be in playoffs ….guess drugs are more important

  • Douglas Andrews

Man he’s got a serious history hopes he gets it together.

  • Phil Heidenreich

I’ll be honest – I skipped straight to the comments on this one. Classic Brownies to get destroyed the day after they think they’re saved.

  • CW

Browns are stuck hoping on the dope.

  • Hahahahahaha ahem very immature hahahahahahaha
