Stanford DB Devon Carrington Will Tryout For Steelers At Rookie Mini Camp

At the conclusion of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced that Stanford cornerback Devon Carrington was one of 10 undrafted free agents that the team had come to terms with. On Monday, Steelers PR man Burt Lauten announced on Twitter that Carrington will instead be tryout player this coming weekend at the rookie mini camp.

Carrington, a versatile defensive back that played both cornerback and safety at Stanford, played in 14 games in 2013 and recorded 33 tackles (21 solo) and four pass breakups.

At his March Pro Day, Carrington, who measures in at just over six feet, reportedly ran a 4.65 second 40-yard dash time.
