Steelers Pre Draft Visit With Nebraska WR Quincy Enunwa Finally Confirmed

Updating a previous report, the National Football Post reports Friday evening that Nebraska wide receiver Quincy Enunwa did indeed have a pre draft visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A little over a week ago, Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports reported that Enunwa was scheduled to visit with the Steelers but there never was a follow-up until this evening.

Enunwa, who caught 51 passes for 753 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, measured in at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine at 6’02”, 225 pounds.

Enunwa was money in the red zone last season as that’s where 10 of his 12 touchdowns were registered. The Gator Bowl MVP ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds while in Indianapolis and is projected to be a day-two selection.

The Steelers are rumored to be looking to add a “tall” wide receiver during the draft and Enunwa certainly would fit that description.

I am growing more and more fond of what I see with Enunwa. He definitely reminds me of a bigger, stronger and faster Hines Ward. He is a strong blocker and if given a chance, will blow up the ball carrier. He would probably be a star on ST.

Hey Dave i am new to SNR, the terrible podcasts, and this site and was wandering if you host any kind of live online chat during the draft? thanks and great site btw

  • SteelersDepot

We will have some post up to discuss on draft day, but no, I will not be doing a live chat. Are you on Twitter? I will be active there for sure.

Makes some body catches but also makes some nice catches with his hands. Sure why not take him in the 6th or 7th round.

  • Alex Kozora

Enunwa would be an excellent pickup. Loves to block and great body control. Love his value in the last round or two.

Man if we can get him in 6 or 7 that’d be awesome! I have a feeling someone else will recognize his skills and take him earlier!

dont know the guy going to have to check tape on him ..but the way you talk and as a good blocker you think he could be converted to a TE ??

  • This is the other WR I was talking about earlier today and couldn’t remember his name. He and Davonte Adams are Red Zone beasts.

  • Darryl Battle

I don’t think he can be a TE. He has the body make up of Anquan Bolden. I really see him being the guy that does the underneath grunt work. But he also has enough speed and route running ability to be a threat down the field in play action.
