Steelers RB Dri Archer Is Apparently Not Faster Than A Mobile Banking App

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie running back Dri Archer has yet to play a down in the NFL, but the third-round draft pick already has his own Capital One commercial.

The commercial plays off of Archer’s speed that’s pitted against a mobile banking app. It’s a cheesy spot, but I bet the money paid to Archer was still green. It’s not as good as the American Express commercial in Major League, however (see below).

According to Archer, he’ll be headed to Hollywood for the weekend to take part in the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

Archer is represented by Lagardère Unlimited, which is run by agent Joel Segal. Maybe Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown should have signed with him instead of Roc Nation Sports after firing Drew Rosenhaus.

He only ran a 7 second 50 yard split.

Yea, the Steelers are screwed. The combine 40 time was wrong. Just what they need, a RB thats a slow offensive lineman. haha.

  • Jonas

    4 seconds back though? 😉

11,5secs in approximately 100m with a direction change sound good to me!

  • patrick Mayfield

because he had to stop at the end. he makes the return 50 in less than 5 seconds though without starting in a stance though.

  • Major League, Great Movie! Classic!

It’s just a comercial and he’s not going to try to get hurt making it , I’m sure he wasn’t allowed to give it his all … The steelers won’t sign him if he’s hurt and I’m sure his manager knows that too !!

  • What NFL lineman runs a 4.26 40, its a commercial idiot

  • 2443scott

lol guess he had a super internet conection ..have you ever tried to log on and pay a bill ..forget bill just to get on line then find the app to bank lol…but it was fun to watch now let him run to store and get troy a new bottle shampoo

  • Matt Smith

I know there is no sarcasm font, but come on now. It’s obviously sarcasm. Check yourself before you run around calling people idiots when you’re the jerkoff that doesn’t pick up on obvious sarcasm.

  • joed32

That and the fact that he was supposed to lose, if he won there’s no point to the ad.

I think he’s making the case for players to place themselves in bubble wrap and sit on a shelf while they’re not in use…
