The Terrible Podcast – Talking NFL Draft, Steelers Predictions & More Episode

terriblepodcast

Season 4, Episode 100 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I spend most of this show talking about the 2014 NFL Draft that will finally get underway on Thursday.

Before talking about the draft, however, David and I discuss what may or may not be disclosed Monday during the Steelers pre draft press conference and come up with a few questions we would like general manager Kevin Colbert to answer.

In our draft talk segment, David and I discuss players we both think are slam dunks to be off the board by the time the Steelers 15th overall selection rolls around and this includes us talking about how many quarterbacks we think go in the top 15.

We then ponder a handful of players that we believe the Steelers will have to choose from and also go over the biggest positions of need once again. This leads to us throwing out our predictions as to who we both believe the Steelers first round selection will ultimately be and why. We also take a stab at the second round.

Our next podcast will not be out until early Friday morning in order to allow us to recap the first round just hours after it is completed.

As usual, a few more talking points are mixed in and discussed during the show that are not mentioned in this recap.

Barr doesnt have pass rush moves though!!
I don’t see why you would take a guy that high when all the scouting reports say he has no pass rush moves, if you’re a first round pick in the top half of the round you would think that is an absolute prerequisite to be an OLB/DE first rounder?
If he can’t speed rush against nfl caliber tackles than he will be useless.
We already took a guy with a similiar scouting report with Jarvis Jones and he got one sack all season. I know going off the rookie season is not completely indicitive of how the career will go but cmon, Jarvis should of gotten more sacks than just one when playing weakside OLB. If he was playing strong side OLB i could understand.

David Todd, I disagree with your counter to the people that don’t want OBJ because he is too much like AB. Of course if he is going to be the same caliber player as AB I would take him every day and twice on sundays. But if he is going to be the same caliber as AB and you gave me the option of the body type of OBJ or Benjamin, I think you’d get an overwhelming reply voting for Benjamin.
