Despite them not being in the playoffs since 2009, the Dallas Cowboys are still America’s favorite professional sports team, according to an ESPN Sports Poll.
Coming in second? The Pittsburgh Steelers, who have beaten the Cowboys two out of three times in the Super Bowl.
According to the Friday report, the poll was run for a 12-month period that ended in March and it supposedly tracks fan base sizes and fan base demographics for all major sports through a monthly telephone survey of 1,500 Americans ages 12 and older.
12 and older? Hmmm.
The NFL certainly rules as the popular sport in the poll as the Green Bay Packers finished third, and the Denver Broncos finished fifth.
