Patriots Done With Former Steelers WR/KR Reggie Dunn

The New England Patriots are done with wide receiver/kick returner Reggie Dunn as the former Pittsburgh Steelers speed merchant was waived Thursday at the conclusion of their offseason practices.

Dunn, who was signed to the Patriots practice on Jan. 7, was originally signed by the Steelers as undrafted free agent last year out of Utah.

Dunn has donned a few different uniforms since being waived by the Steelers last August has he has spent time on the practice squads of the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins in addition to the Patriots.

During the 2013 preseason, Dunn caught one pass for 10 yards and rushed twice for another 19 yards for the Steelers. He also returned seven punts for 69 yards and two kickoffs for 73 yards.

    His NFL career is Dunn

Lol where are the people on this board that were saying it was a mistake to let him go now?

  • Douglas Andrews

Never even made it on a final 53 man roster.

  • Kevin Gobleck

wonder who’d win in a race, him or archer?

  • Dunn for a while, I guess you could say. Just like Tebow, they are both Dunn

If I’m remembering this right Dunn was a one trick pony! Pretty good as a KO return guy but that was about it. Had like 35 catches as a WR his whole career in College and there were doubts as to whether he could return punts. So in the end this isn’t surprising to me.

Not sure he even had 35catches.. and he had about the same amount of carries out of the backfield over his career.. and you’re right he didn’t have much punt return experience either……….. speed isn’t everything
