Bills Sign Former Steelers LB Stevenson Sylvester

A former Pittsburgh Steelers draft pick found work Wednesday with another team full of other former Steelers players.

Linebacker Stevenson Sylvester, who was originally drafted by the Steelers in the fifth-round of the 2010 NFL Draft, signed with the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday and will compete for a job as a backup.

The Bills need more depth at the linebacker position after losing starter Kiko Alonso for the season to a knee injury just a few weeks ago.

Sylvester played in a total of 50 games over the course of the last four seasons for the Steelers mainly on special teams.

Sylvester will already know several players on the Bills as he played with several of them during his time in Pittsburgh. That list of players includes, Doug Legursky, Corbin Bryant, Dennis Dixon, Ikponmwosa Igbinosun, Brian Moorman, Frank Summers and Kraig Urbik.
