Pouncey Brothers Not Named In Monday Morning Miami Beach Police Incident Report

As of Monday morning, Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey and his twin brother Mike Pouncey have not been named in the incident report that was released following them both being accused of assault Friday night.

According to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Miami Beach police said Monday morning that detectives are still working to confirm speculation that the Pouncey twins were involved in the incident that took place at the Cameo nightclub during their birthday party celebration.

The Pouncey brothers along with four bouncers have been accused of assaulting Miami socialite Ricky Vasquez Friday night at the club and a female accomplice is also claiming on social media that she was struck in the head by Maurkice while trying to break up the fight. Vasquez posted on social media that he suffered a swollen face and a chipped tooth during the incident and that he would be pressing charges.

The fact that no charges have been filed against either of the Pouncey brothers as of yet is of course a good sign. One would think that the club might have some sort of surveillance video of the incident, but there’s been no word if the police are investigating that.

UPDATE: Miami Beach police officer Vivian Thayer said the two accusers are scheduled to give sworn testimony sometime later this week and that detectives are working to obtain security footage of the incident. She said a decision to question the Pounceys will depend on the testimony that is given by the victims and what is discovered on the security footage.
