Ravens CB Jimmy Smith Arrested Saturday Night For Disorderly Conduct

It’s been quite the offseason for the Baltimore Ravens, who had their fifth player arrested Saturday night.

According to several media reports, cornerback Jimmy Smith was arrested and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct late Saturday night after an alleged incident at suburban Baltimore bar.

Smith was reportedly trying to help an intoxicated woman in the bathroom of the bar, but was arrested after he refused to comply with orders from the police to step aside once the paramedics arrived.

The Ravens are reportedly in the process of gathering information about the incident and Smith has been released from custody after being issued a citation.

The Ravens former first-round draft pick had some character concerns coming out of college, but this is the first time he has been arrested since arriving in Baltimore. It’s been a rough several days for Smith as he recently had a tree fall on his house during a storm.

Smith now joins running back Ray Rice, offensive lineman Jah Reid, wide receiver Deonte Thompson, running back Lorenzo Taliaferro on the list of Ravens players arrested this offseason.

This all makes sense now. Maybe it was Jimmy Smith who punched “Honey”. Man that was some kinda lump on that big forehead. Ahhh, the doldrums of the off season. Isnt it fun boys and girls?

  • JohnB

Wow..i was just talking the other day about he’s been doing good with staying out of trouble…whoops.

  • steelersnut

always thought the ravens looked like street level thugs!

  • Matt Manzo

I wanna bash him, but when u read that he was trying to help someone who needed medical attention, it’s kinda hard.

  • Jason White

What is the record for the amount of players arrested on one team during an offseason? Ravens are trying to be number 1. Its about the only thing they have a shot at winning this year.

  • Jones

Unless he was helping to the point of being in the way. That happens often enough and drives EMTs crazy, and worse yet, can dangerous for the patient, well intentioned as the person “helping” may be. Who knows what really happened though?

  • srdan

Even if that is the case we still shouldn’t bash him

  • srdan

I would say that out division leads for sure lol

  • concretejimmy

Steelers HC looks like the biggest one.

  • concretejimmy

I’m usually right about everything. I said I felt like Jimmy Smith was going to get into trouble. Nothing serious. Just enough to piss off coach Harbaugh.

  • concretejimmy

They’ll finish ahead of the Steelers and Browns. And Bengals.

  • JohnB

    ….good one.

  • Steelersnut

    yeah right?
