Brett Keisel Turns Down Invitation To Visit Cardinals

Veteran defensive end Brett Keisel will not be a member of the Arizona Cardinals in 2014 after all.

According to Kent Somers of azcentral.com, Keisel declined an invitation to visit the Cardinals as he did not want to leave his family.

Earlier in the day, Somers reported that Keisel would be flying to Arizona to take a physical one day after the Cardinals lost starting defensive tackle Darnell Dockett for the season to a torn ACL.

Somers also reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers “have not ruled out re-signing Keisel at some point”, if needed.

For now, it looks like Keisel will sit and wait to see if the Steelers will call him.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

So the drama continues. I was done with Keisel a long time ago, but to tell you the truth I’m starting to warm up to the idea as of late, considering Mauro is the only DE to step up after the top 3.

Kiesel needs to retire a Steeler. He can go to Steelers West in AZ if he wants to since he may have bills to pay. I’m not oppose to a one year deal with the Diesel as a backup. The rook hasn’t played a full season and if we make it to the playoffs, I doubt he can hang being the main guy.
