Steelers Foster, Jones, Williams, Spaeth, Zumwalt Sitting Out Scrimmage Against Bills

The Pittsburgh Steelers Wednesday scrimmage at Saint Vincent College against the Buffalo Bills and we’re already getting word as to who is and isn’t participating.

According to Alex Kozora, tight end Matt Spaeth (undisclosed), linebacker Jordan Zumwalt (groin?), linebacker Vince Williams (concussion?), linebacker Jarvis Jones (groin?) and guard Ramon Foster (knee) are all being held out Wednesday.

This is not good news at all for Zumwalt. The Steelers first of two sixth-round draft picks was already a long shot to make the 53 man roster heading into training camp and now that he’s back missing practices once again with an injury, he will fall even further behind.

As for Williams, he might be held out a few days with a possible concussion and will likely be a game-time decision Saturday night for the team’s second preseason game of the 2014 season against the Bills at Heinz Field.

Foster had some knee swelling Tuesday, according to head coach Mike Tomlin, so it’s not surprising that he’s being held out.
