Steelers Add RB Josh Harris To Practice Squad

The Pittsburgh Steelers will assemble their initial 2014 practice squad on Saturday and already we have another name to add to it.

According to a post on his Twitter account, running back Josh Harris has apparently cleared waivers and has been signed to the practice squad.

Harris signed with the Steelers as an undrafted rookie free agent just after training camp got underway.

During the preseason, the Wake Forrest product carried the ball eight times for 41 yards. He also caught three passes for another 12 yards.

On Saturday, wide receiver Derek Moye indicated he would be added to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

Im rooting for this guy! He seems better than last years RBs Alvester Alexander and Tauren Poole. And Miguel Maysonet

Good, I like Harris’ performance in the last preseason game

  • Brian Miller

He performed admirably in limited time…I actually like a few that were waived yesterday better like Josey and Tucker, but I have no problem with signing Harris instead.

Heard on another site that Mauro was confirmed.

Hey Dave could you possibly explain how the waiver wire works does it very per player? or if anyone els who has knowledge on the topic I would greatly appreciate it.

That’s good news if it plays out.

this guy looked good in the last pre-season game, good nose for the hole, nice feet and speedy. like.

liked what I saw from Harris, whats not to like seeing a Steeler RB named Harris?
but I’d take a look at who Washington cut or Denver since they run a similar no huddle attack…. James Wilder jr is also worth a kick of the tires
