Steelers S Mike Mitchell Leaves Panthers Game With Leg Injury

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Mike Mitchell has left the Thursday night game against the Carolina Panthers with an apparent injury.

Mitchell reportedly suffered a right leg injury and is listed as probable to return. The Steelers first team defense looks done for the night so it will be surprising if Mitchell plays the rest of the night.

Mitchell, who signed a five-year contract with the Steelers during the offseason, started Thursday night alongside Will Allen.

The Steelers currently trail the Panthers 3-0 in the second quarter.

Noo we were so healthy throughout the preseason. Don’t give us the injuries now

Let’s all hope it’s just cramps!

  • StrengthOfVictory

If he’s probable, it must not be serious. The fact that the Steelers have gotten through the preseason with no major injuries is HUGE.

The guy is WAY over rated. I haven’t seen him do anything but miss tackles and be out of position.

  • tristan

he hasn’t been good, but it’s far to early to call him overrated

  • Luis Garcia

ssshhhhh…. that’s exactly what we said last season! No jinxing!
