Roethlisberger, Polamalu Both Likely Sitting Out Sunday With Birth Certificate Contusions

The Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday practice is now underpay and it appears as though quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and safety Troy Polamalu have both been given the day off.

While we don’t know for sure it appears as if both players could be suffering from birth certificate contusions which basically means both are being given a maintenance day. Head coach Mike Tomlin might let us know if that is indeed the case after practice is over.

While we don’t yet have the full list of players that are not practicing Sunday, Alex Kozora reports that he has spotted cornerback Shaquille Richardson back working. Richardson had missed Saturday’s practice with a tweaked groin.

Nose tackles Steve McLendon and Hebron Fangupo also both appear to be out Sunday as well as tight end Rob Blanchflower and linebacker Jordan Zumwalt. Safety Mike Mitchell also remains out and on the PUP list.

We will update this post as soon as the complete list of players not practicing is known.
