I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

The problem is that they all played so badly that the starters were kept in for an extended period, leaving little to no defensive snaps for guys like Mauro, So’oto, HoJo, Arnfelt and N.Williams… didn’t learn much in the way of depth players

  • Eric MacLaurin

I hope we didn’t learn anyone from the starters either.

Interesting to see Blanchflower get the 2nd most snap among TEs

    Right, I thought so too.

  • steeltown

Yea definitely, although Paulson still played more special teams. I think it’s clear Blanchflower is atleast making the practice squad

Tuitt: 42 snaps. I like that a lot when you consider Cam Thomas only had 28. I think that’s a product of the Eagles offense and the Steelers running the 2-4-5 much of the game. I think the rookie looked good though. Much better game than Shazier had.

  • steeltown

Interesting So’oto getting a lot of special teams snaps.. could be they really wanted to get a good look at him in that area, but im going to try and not read too much into it

Just too put this into perspective. 67 snaps is 76% of the total defensive snaps. That close to 90 total snaps. 67 snaps is just about as many as a normal offense will run through 4 quarters of play. The eagles offense ran a play just about every 17 seconds last nite, thats about 7 seconds faster than thier 24 seconds per play last year. That is fast and will be one heck of a challange for any defense, even Seattle.
