Steelers Waive RB Jawan Jamison

The Pittsburgh Steelers are back practicing Monday at Saint Vincent College and they have announced one transaction prior to the team taking the field.

According to Steelers PR man Burt Lauten, running back Jawan Jamison has been waived.

Jamison, who was originally signed by the Steelers back on August 1st, played only there snaps Saturday night in the preseason loss to the New York Giants. He did not register a carry.

The Steelers roster currently sits at 89 players, so we expect that a player will be signed to fill Jamison’s spot.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

Making room to sign that big TE the Pats just released? Maybe AC Leonard?

Hmm.. which position do they add to.. TE maybe OL?

I was thinking maybe this was a roster spot for Keisel. The Dline didn’t look very promising past the first 5 guys.

Well according to some wise poster in another thread, Shazier will probably be cut, so ILB?

    LOL!

    C’mon TE please!!!

With Whimper and Adams as our backups I’ll take a OT to replace Jamison!

    Punter?

From what I’ve read Podlesh is dealing with a tough situation with his wife having a difficult pregnancy. Wish them the best and hope everything works out well for them. On this note after watching Wing Saturday night I would bring in another Punter to compete with Wing for now as he was horrible. If when Podlesh comes back throw him in the mix as we pretty much have seen him over the years.

could be a returning vet – deebo?

Oh man! You guys all listed good possibilities!
OL, TE, DE, P? Each one makes sense.
I’d say OL is my #1.
I’m hoping Waters steps up at TE, or Paulson starts eating his spinach!
At DE I’d hope that between Arnfelt, Mauro, and Hemmer that one could start separating himself?
I think Thomas and McCullers make the need for Keisel a little less.
Wing being the solo punter is a bit worrisome too.

Don’t leave Nick Williams out of that DE race, he played well on Saturday.
