The Terrible Podcast – Talking Steelers First Depth Chart, Andy Dalton New Contract, Camp News & More Episode

terriblepodcast

Season 5, Episode 3 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I start this show off by talking about the contract extension that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton received Monday morning. Is he worth it? We discuss it.

We move on to talk about the health of the Pittsburgh Steelers entering their ninth training camp practice and also discuss the first depth chart that was released on Sunday. We go it through it pretty thoroughly and wind up discussing several players along the way.

The show winds up with us discussing safety Will Allen and whether or not he is a lock to make the final 53 man roster this year. We also touch on the contract extension given to kicker Shaun Suisham over the weekend.

As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.

    Lose Paulson. Keep Moye.

This preseason is going to mean a lot because of the fact that we finally have a lot of talented young players. Who will shine? Who will make the team? This year should make for some interesting preseason football! I know. I can’t believe I’m saying that. The only problem with it for the offense is, Ben won’t be playing much. It’ll be hard to tell how WRs, TEs, RBs, and all else on the offense would actually play at their best because they’ll be, for the most part, playing with a second string and third string QB. The defense, however, should really be much more worth watching during this preseason. As much as I can’t stand Eli Manning, I hope we get at least one sack and one interception on him during our first preseason game. (Yes, Eli beat the ‘Cheatriots’ in the super bowl and I thank him for that, but I still can’t stand him.) GO STEELERS!

I think it would be great if the Steelers start Shazier AND Tuitt. Two rookies starting on defense would be something very different for the Steelers. Hey, no better time than the present, right? Get these guys in the game. We’ll see what preseason proves for Tuitt.

Moye can’t play TE. I know, neither can Paulson (LOL).

I’m talking about a roster spot. With Paulson gone, it opens one up.

    Just joking.
