The Terrible Podcast – Talking Steelers Injury Update, Suisham New Contract, Tomlin Presser & More Episode

Season 5, Episode 4 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I start this show off by going over the Pittsburgh Steelers injury report. This includes a conversation about why it took so long to find out about the concussion that nose tackle Steve McLendon has been dealing with.

After speculation about which players may or may not play Saturday night in the preseason opener against the New York Giants, David and I look closer at the numbers of the contract extension that was recently signed by kicker Shaun Suisham. We also wonder if any more extensions are on the way.

David and I talk about the secondary and wide receiver depth for a little bit before moving on to recap the Thursday press conference given by head coach Mike Tomlin. We also talk about the numbers on the new contract that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton signed.

As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.

  • Pete Johnson

    Cuts off at 29:57.

  • Thanks for discussing Moye. I hope he makes the team. All it takes is one injury to another WR in preseason. I hope that doesn’t happen, but we’ve all seen it happen before. I still hope he makes the team on his own talents.

  • SteelersDepot

    think that’s on your end.

  • SteveM2

Don’t start thinking that other NFL teams aren’t looking at this situation, sports fans.

  • Justin Brown is made of glass. He gets hurt ALL THE TIME. I don’t like weak WRs like him who get paid to sit on the bench so they can heal. Moye is tough and he’s talented. He should make the team. I was very insitent before the 2014 draft that we try to get WR Kelvin Benjamin on the team. Did you see that incredible grab he made for a TD in tonight’s game versus the Bills? He got tangled-up by the defender, landed on the ground and still came up with the ball. I knew he was going to be great. Damn! This Martavis Bryant better pan out!
